Miscellaneous

My computer failed and was unusable. A box appeared selling Windows Restore to fix it. I bought the product, and was able to begin using my computer again, although it still had obvious significant problems. A couple days later I took the computer to a repair person, and he told me the company that sold the product is a fraudulent malware outfit, and not only does the product not fix the problem in the long run, it makes it worse by further infecting the computer with more malware. The name of the vendor that appeared on my bank statement is "codecsupport.com." When I searched for them on the internet, there is no such company to be found. However if you google "Windows Restore, " there is an article that states that the product is a fraudulent, viral application.
