Similar story to everyone else who got taken. I was asked to review my pc for errors and yes, there was horrendous volume of supposed problems. I was not immediately convinced of the authenticity of this call but after being transferred to the "supervisor" I was convinced they were acting on behalf of Microsoft so signed up for the "lifetime" plan 15750.44 INR @. 0220 for $340.55 CDN. A few weeks later I received a service call as their system apparently detected some problems. I watched while they began to scan my pc and to my horror the person with the remote access to my pc was trying to build a PayPal account using a full name, address, credit card number complete with the 3 digit security code. Apparently this person already had a paypal account with password so the request was denied. Today, I was checking my visa statement online only to find a similar amount 329.99 USD @ 1.0321 for $340.60 CDN to another company that I have never heard of. Rather coincidental! My Visa has now been cancelled and a new card en route.
