All my life I have wanted to have a chevrolet truck. I am 47 years old finally I was able to save up enough to buy a used 2003 z71 April. Paid 14985 83000mi. Two months later the speedometer starts sticking. I am usually not one to complain, but several people I know have or had the same problem. Then I read about a recall online. I call my local dealer only to find out I am over the mileage limit for the recall. I thought if a vehicle across the board was showing the same problem it was recalled no matter what. I am also concerned about safety issues after reading about possible fire hazards linked to this problem. Sincerely Grit.
