I have a 2005 Ford 500, I haven't had any real issues with its performance, but I have complaints about its design.

First, the passenger seat does not adjust up or down. It IS a power seat but only goes forward or back, though the driver's side adjusts fully. The car has a power moon roof and I am 6' tall. I can't let my wife drive on a trip because I can't let the seat down to keep from hitting my head! What 4' nothing engineer did this? My biggest complaint however is that there is no REAL tilt wheel. At 6' I have to move the seat back quite a way, however I must lean forward with my arms fully extended and shoulders away from the seat in order to reach the wheel. This is very uncomfortable, and puts my arms to sleep in no time at all. Again I can't let the wife drive, but I also can't drive for long myself! Give us back a TILT wheel NOT a release the lever and "clunk" the entire column drops maybe 1/2" and does not change the angle of the wheel at all, nor bring it closer to the driver. Again what 4'idiot did this?

I know, Uncle Sam now says you can't change the angle of the air bag to the driver. Try making a double knuckle that changes the angle of the wheel but NOT the air bag.

What's that? Expensive to design and make? Drop some gadgets!

I have driven Ford all my life. But will keep my MN-12 1995 Thunderbird, and my 2000 EB Expedition 4X4 for the next 50 years if I can because both have passenger seats that adjust fully, and both have a REAL tilt steering wheel!

The MN-12 platform was when Ford still made cars! Haven't seen one since. New Mustang? Beautiful car, same problems! I'll keep my '69 Mustang convertible (Modified for MN-12 power seat (S) and a TILT wheel.)- Notice that you are not selling any NEW cars here Ford? When the 500 goes down, I'll junk IT, pay "Cash for clunkers" - and keep the old things running as long as I can.

All the new gadgets in today's cars may be nice, but they are also expensive, not to mention distracting. I for one, would gladly give up some gadgetry to gain back some comfort.

I have an entertainment system in my home, I need to be comfortable enough to stay alert and safe when I drive!
