Sears bought out Kmart, so you can go in and pay your Sears bill there. I took $250 in cash, attached it to my statement, and went to Kmart in Neptune Beach Fl. I gave the cashier the $250 in cash and she seemed distracted and could not process it on one register at customer service and so moved to another. She processed it and started a conversation with me as she was handing me my receipt which she stapled together. I did not look at the receipt until I received my next statement which stated I had paid $150. I immediately called the store manager, Fred Ravenall and explained the situation. He stated there was nothing they could do. After insisting they go back to that day and see if there was an overage and pull the security tapes he reluctantly agreed after 3 phone calls. I never got to meet the manager or the loss prevention associate. I went into the store 5 times only to talk to him from the customer service phone. The only claim they had was that I looked at my receipt for 15-20 seconds. I asked if the cashier counted the money and they could view that, they said no. I tried contacting the supervisor, David Pinchon, sent numerous E-mails, and asked him to call back all to no avail. Kmart stole $100 from me! Never pay on a bill with cash, it is your word against the cashiers. She pocketed a $100 bill! If she did it to me, she has been doing this to many others. Cindy Jacksonville FL.
