Lowes installed Shaws carpet

I purches 7 year shaw carpet from Lowes Dec. 2010. My wife and I moved into our new home in January. We started noticing the carpet prematurly wearing in several areas. We reported to Lowes in return filed warranty with Shaw Flooring (industries). Shaw sent out inspector who says nothing is wrong with Carpet except small area on stairs (which by the way is the smallest and least damaged area. So I call Lowes District Mgr. Who calls corpoate lowes, who in return calls Shaw. Shaw then decides they think sending us 825 dollar credit is generous. I have a friend who has been in carpet 31 years, and he states that the carpet is prematurly worn and that they (Lowes, and Shaw) are trying to get out of it. This is a brand new home. I mean gee 6 months into the warranty / What would they do 5 years from now if they wont do anything when the carpet is new? We dont wear shoes in the house. Just slippers. You can see how nice the inside of our home is.
