I had been informed by a girlfriend (some 3 weeks prior) that she had received a call from someone advising she had malicious mail and they need fix. She did so and as a result her computer contracted a virus.

Just as well she mentioned it as recently I was contacted and smelt a rat! I fobbed them off explaining my son was the only one who used the internet and was offay with it. I tried to get his number and repeat it to me, so he did.

Then he said something about the serial number I said you tell me what number you have and I'll tell you if I agree, he persued it until I wouldn't let down. He said he would call back the following day but didn't. He abuptly hung up on me - had an Indian accent so probably fake too. Hope this helps.
