Katy Park Row Post Office
No Service

I was trying to schedule an appointment for a passport at this office on Sat morning, so I started calling at 9:02am and all I got was a busy signal this went on for an hour and a half. After reading from other people that this post office frequently leaves the phone off the hook I drove directly to it to schedule the appointment. There was a woman at the package window who told me that she could not schedule an appointment for passports so I asked her if she could at least hang up the phone so I could call and schedule one to which she replied it was not her responsibility to hang up the phone. As I was turning to leave a woman with a clipboard stepped out to call the next person for their passport appointment so I asked her if I could schedule an appointment to get a passport appointment with her to which she told me no I had to call and schedule that appointment, so I asked her if she could hang up the phone so I could call to schedule an appointment to which she stated she did not have access to a phone but the woman at the window I just spoke to had a phone right next to her I might want to ask her.

This is not the first time I've tried to utilize this post office since it's the one closest to my house however the employees there are rude, unwilling to help in anyway and all of them have the attitude it's not their job. I would personally sign and assist any petition to have this post office shut down to help with governmental budget cuts.

I also believe that if closing post offices will assist in any way with our over head on the budget they should shut down as many of them as possible, as you can go to almost every town and find numerous complaints regarding postal employees and the terrible customer service, attitudes and work ethics these people have. I say with the minimal amount of mail that is now sent through the U.S. Postal system we could could cut it by 2/3's get rid of these rude dead beat people that believe it's not their responsibility to provide customer service, do their jobs or be polite to people. Maybe if they have to worry about keeping their jobs they'll actually work to do it!!!
