First Financial Wellness
Promised a reduction in the interest rates on my credit cards. After paying them $995, which they added on to a credit card, no reduction was accomplished

Miscellaneous

Back in January of this year, First financial Wellness contacted me by telephone and convinced me that by paying them $995.00, they would renegotiate the interest rates on my outstanding credit cards. Since they told me this would not impact my credit rating like credit counseling would, I foolishly agreed to their promise and allowed them to add on another $995.00 to one of the cards I was hoping to have the interest rate reduced on. Needless to say, over 6 months later, my interest rates remain the same after their supposed negotiations with my creditors. I am now supposed to contact First Financial again in a couple of months to begin the same bogus renegotiations with my creditors. Some type of agency needs to be put in place to hunt down and stop these people who prey on those of us who have become desperate thanks to the banks behind the credit cards that have boxed us into corners - so desperate that we clutch at straws to get out from under. I don't expect to recoup my funds but would be ever so happy to know that at least one of these scamming companies has been stopped.
