Watch Out!

The way they presented the price in the office to get you to rent is shady at best. I came in and said "how much is it to rent here?" We looked at a unit and they gave me a price. It was a good price and they offered the customary half off the first month, so i said oK.

But what they should have said was this..."This unit will be a certain price and... We do have a onetime fee that you will need to pay and... There will also be another fee tacked on for insurance if you cant provide proof of your own insurance." " That will be the price you will pay." Thats not so hard to say upfront.

They made absolutely no mention of any other fees until the end when they ask you for money, after i was rushed through an online contract process. Yes i saw the area where they mention "how much is your stuff worth? But by not making any mention of this up front you are led to believe the basic amount of insurance is included.By the time you walk out after this process you really feel like you just got scammed. Then later when you consider the real security of your stuff you realize the metal parts that your lock is attached to is held in place with 2 little wood screws in wood...? No metal doors or door jams? The good price mentioned in the beginning is no bargain at all.
