Last year I met someone on the Internet who has an art business. She and I talked about a project of mine (a children's book that I had written) as I was looking for an illustrator.
The project was a 50/50 deal. We would split all cost and profits evenly. I was asked by her to send her 220 pounds and she would put up 220 pounds so that she could buy canvases to do the work. Because I thought she was credible and professional, I sent her the money. She backed out of the project leaving no funds and no product. I asked her where was the money that she was supposed to buy the materials and she doesn't have it. She spent it on herself. I have email conversations to and fro of all that was discussed. I have the Pay Pal receipts of the money I sent to her. Isn't this Internet Fraud? If so, what actions can I take?
Can you help me?
