Miscellaneous

I was contacted by someone named Christy Keim on Match.com on July 24 claiming to have great interest in knowing me. She claimed to be a US national born in Sweden, came to the US 7 years ago and had a 13 years old daughter.

Soon after she asked me to use yahoo messenger as the communication means. She claimed that she was in UK for a short assignment. On July 11 she told me that she was having trouble getting the material needed for her project. She claimed that she needed $3,000 to make the purchase and she was not able to acquire the money from a former client who owned her money. She claimed that since she was aboard, she would not be able to cash the check, hence she wanted me to be an intermediate agent between the two parties. I told her she could ask the client to wire the money by using money order or through Western Union but she refused with no good reason. I then became suspicious and asked her for a photo of her passport. The signature and the name did not match and the photo lacks the anti-forgery marking. Hence I am convinced the person who claimed to be Christy Keim is a scam artist.
