I am an honest, single, 53 year old, female that was lied to and deceived by US AIR Solutions. The technician was uncomfortably, overly friendly and then performed services I did not ask for on my AC. The AC did not work when the technician left on 3/29. I made a mistake of trusting him, when he said it was fixed. I did not ask for additional Freon, cleaning etc. I finally told him to remove the Freon when I saw the bill for over $400.00. I refused to pay the extra charges. The coupon was for $89.00 which included: vent cleaning, a new filter, dryer vent cleaning, and AC tune-up. The day before the technician came to the house my AC stopped working. The technician told me the AC was working, but as soon as I checked the vent, (which happened to be after he left) I did not have any cool air coming out. I called immediately and told the company. They told me someone would come and verify the functioning of the AC and discuss the overcharge of services I did not request. They did not show-up so I had to call again 2 days later. The new technician checked and confirmed the ducting was disconnected under the house and that was the reason it did not work. So why did the other technician do all this other cleaning to my unit if it was not functioning. He continued to try and sell me a new unit.
After the additional technician left, I called the company back and ask for a refund of the overcharging and the fact that even at that price my AC did not work. I would have understood some overcharging, if the AC had been fixed, but it wasn’t. The technician was too busy trying to get me to buy a new unit from the beginning. He did not even take off the outer casing to check the AC. He charged me outrageous amounts for cleaning as you can see on the charge ticket.
I have tried to reason with this company to no avail. I feel the technician really took advantage of me as a female not knowing much about the AC system. Visa reviewed their paperwork and paid the $328.00 which now I am again disputing. The company did not do their job, tried to sell me another unit, performed services on AC I did not agree to pay. I ask for Freon to be taken out, which the tech refused to do so, being an honest person I finally agreed to pay for the Freon, if the AC was working. I thought at that time it was working, but It was not! I marked through the price as you will see on the receipt. This technician was definitely trying to make me feel uncomfortable and pay more than I requested on the coupon and did not fix the unit. The second technician verified the AC was not working as well.
I am pursing this because I do not want others to be mislead by this technician or company. I found 5 coupons just this week in various mail magazines or mailers. I feel that I have been completely taken advantage of in this situation. Thank you for your consideration in reviewing this dispute.
