I found a tv for sale for $500 on Craig's List. I emailed the seller and she responded that she just recently moved to Vancouver Canada. She wanted to use a company called Parcel2Go to ship the tv. She said she would pay the shipping. This company was supposed to ship the tv after I sent the payment via Western Union transfer, and the seller was not supposed to be payed until I had the tv and inspected it for 5 days to make sure nothing was wrong with it. It sounded like a safe transaction. So I made the payment. I even got an "invoice" once the payment was received. But supposedly the tv was supposed to arrive yesterday. I have still not received the tv and found many similar stories on scam blogs. Now I am feeling very stupid that I did not research enough before sending the money. I am out $500 now and have nothing to show for it.
