I was victim of a very tought out scam. The scammers used Craigslist, Ebay and Western Union like pros.

I found a Harley Davidson on Craigs list and emailed the seller Coproral Nurse Sarah Becker for more info. The seller sent the info to me and I decided to buy the bike.

The seller stated she would be using Ebay to handle the transaction. I received the invoice with instructions for payment.

The invoice stated:

1. The payment must be sent by wire transfer using WesternUnion to our agent. <br style="line-height:1.2em;">2. After the payment is made, please send us a copy of the transfer. <br style="line-height:1.2em;">3. After the payment is made please reply to this invoice with the WesternUnion Receipt. Once the payment transfer cleared and our eBay representative confirms the payment, we will instruct the seller to start the shipping process. We will hold the funds until you send us your confirmation that you are satisfied with the product you received. As soon as we receive your confirmation we will release the payment to the seller. <br style="line-height:1.2em;">The payment details are confidential and will not be released under any circumstances. Our customer chose this payment method in order to speed up the transaction. This is the seller message to me: Up for sale is a perfect 2003 Harley Davidson FXSTD with 4,170 miles on it, this bike has always been kept inside the house through the winter months and has never been laid down.
