L&B Management and Uptown Properties (both in cincinnati, OH) are the worst management companies for apartments in cincinnati, OH. My roommate and I signed a lease with Uptown Properties in Oct/ Nov for a 1 year lease. Mid-april my roommate started to issue threats on my property, to get me beat up, and on my life. I contacted Uptown Properties to get myself removed from lease, and they told me and my roommate to just come to the office when we can to sign me off the lease. Then all of a sudden we get a notice on our door stating that L & B Management has just taken over management of the building. According to L & B Management, their policy is that they don't allow people to get off the lease. I even explain my entire predicament with them. But I did have my roommate sign a statement on April 30 to release me from all financial responsibilities of the apartment, so Hopefully it will hold up in court if we are sued for the remainder of the lease.
