Merona Sunglasses Sticky Label Won't Come Off!

Merona Sunglasses— Label is so sticky it leaves a residue that won't come off. Please help find a way to remove the residue. I have tried soap and water, ammonia glass cleaner, orange kitchen cleaner. 30 minutes of scrubbing with a scotchbrite pad, and acetone nail polish remover. Going to try paint thinner next, but worried I will damage the glasses.
