NEVER AGAIN - airline tickets

Do not count on CheapOAir to help you out if there is an issue with your flight. They know how to book a flight, that's it, nothing beyond that.

My daughter had a reservation with CheapOair for a roundtrip from DC to Nantucket and the flight there was with Continental, return flight with JetBlue. She decided not to fly due to Hurricane Irene and tried to reschedule the flight with CheapOAir. The Airlines allowed customers to rebook due to the potential threat and waved their cancellation fees.
Now I had to deal with two different airlines and CheapOAir refused to help. They said that they could rebook her if we paid the cancellations fees which ended up being as high as the actual ticket. I informed them that the Airlines allowed cancellations and rebooking without a fee but they couldn’t care less.
I ended up on the phone with CheapOAir for a couple of hours, then with the airlines for another few hours and finally got it straightened out directly with the Airlines. NO Help from CheapOair.
I emailed them and I received an answer saying that they could not help me via email and I needed to use their Chat line.

These people had absolutely no idea about the Hurricane issue and couldn’t care less about our problem.
