Scammer Won't Return Money

I worked for them in late Feb I made a possible sale that didn't go through but they still took her deposit and now they won't return it. It's been almost 3 months. She has called and they said they were going mail a check. Now they are saying they don't know if it was mailed or if they shredded it. The girl who wants her money back is fixing to seek legal action because they have terrible customer service and they are theives.
