Ripped off Elderly Couple to the tune of $1610.00

Matt and Shyne came to the condo in which my elderly in laws live both in their mid 80s. They proceeded to do a 29.95 maintenance check up while trying to convince them into install an Ultramax Gold UME24V T3 Ultraviolet unit that kills germs, mold and viruses. The two were very vague on the cost. My father in law who is hard of hearing was not totally aware of what was about to happen. They installed this unit within 15 minutes and asked for 1620. When he came out with 16 dollars and 20 cents they laughed. They told him it was 1620 dollars and that he needs to put it on his credit card. Both entered the condo and waited for the transaction to be complete. The two left without leaving a receipt. Both in-laws complained to Action Heating & Cooling about a receipt and what had transpired to no avail. They finally got a receipt 3 weeks later. This is a a gross display of taking advantage of two elderly people who were blind sided by two aggressive installers trying to rip them off. Customer beware. I have contacted the sheriff’s office and the local newspapers for further action.
