I attempted to return a bottle of Stir Fry sauce that cost $1.88. Actually, I only wanted to exchange it. And the person young man at the customer service desk, Brandon, gave me more reasons under the sun why I could not exchange this item. He was so obnoxious and rude. I like to consider myself a very patient person and it takes a lot to make me upset, especially when I am in a retail setting. I typically so not get annoyed, I am patient with long lines. I overlook human errors. However, this person was no rude and dead set on not either giving me my money back or exchanging my item that he crossed his arms and insisted that if he called a manager to assist me they would tell me the "same thing." He informed me that he could not take the item back (even though it was spoiled) because it was opened. I asked him, how else would I have known that something in a bottle was rancid unless I had opened it. He advised me it was against the board of health codes. I mean it was truly ridiculous and amazing that someone would be so indignant over a less than $2 bottle of sauce that I simply needed to complete dinner for that night. Well after all was said and done the manager did allow me to swap the sauce out.
