Price Gouging

Delivered 40 gallons of propane on 1/24/211 at a price of $5.97/gallon. Yet, when I called and asked for their gas price for the town I live in for a gas fireplace customer, the price quoted was $3.89/gallon. I asked how they could charge me $5.97/gallon and they said it was because of usage. I already had paid $60.00 last year because I didn't have a delivery of gas for a 1-year period, so if I've already paid a penalty for this, why is my gas price so high for a regular delivery? Apparenly, they can charge whatever they want to if you don't use some minimum (which was over 200 gal/year) for a gas fireplace customer. That amount of gas consumption is very high for most gas fireplace users. Andy they don't disclose that the rate you pay requires a minimum usage. It isn't until you get the bill that you find out and, basically, they can't even tell you how much you'll be paying at each delivery. We will be switching to AmeriGas in the spring. I have never seen so many complaints about Osterman online and I can't even imagine who the BBB certifies them. It does to show that this organization is not useful at all to consumers!!
