Software rip off

I purchased a new computer and a virus warning came up the first day I used it. It said to check for the virus which I did. A program came up and stated it could be removed for purchasing the program for $19.00 which like a fool I did. I got my credit card statement and was charged $99.90 for it and to make matters worse it is not even on my computer anymore.
