Employee Not Paid her Payroll Checks

Do not get paid as being any employee of Small Scholars Learning Center, LLC; Tannersville, PA 18372. When u are paid by check, the payment is "uncollectable funds", causing your accounts to be overdrawn and fees charged to your account.

Owner sent this same $591.00 check to the Labor & Industry Complaint Board first as I had filed a complaint againt them back on 07/09/10 (look it took six months to get only part of what is actually owed to me, as I had to settle just to get the $591.00 to begin with; then was forwarded onto me and received on 12/20/10 and was deposited into my checking account same day of receiving payroll check, then on 12/24/10 told by my bank, that this payroll check was "uncollectable funds".

Called Small Scholars Learning Center, LLC and was told that that owner, Nancy Thomas was away on her Christmas Holiday to visit family down south. Another time, another former employee's check bounced, but was paid in cash to replace her payroll check, but I was not. So I sent a email to Labor & Industry, George Weitz, but have not heard from him as of yet.

I do not understand how a Child Care Provider is allowed to give out "BAD CHECKS" to its "EMPLOYEE"S or FORMER EMPLOYEE"S" that are owed their payroll checks and still keep their License to Operate their Child Care Services. I just do not understand how the law allows all of this to happen!!!
