Deception and irresponsibility of the manage

I went in for an oil change - and have been going there for years - they suggested I get the tires rotated so I agreed. Everything seemed to have went well and they sent me on my way. I noticed when I got home that a lug nut was missing and immediately called them. Nick (the mgr) said it came in that way - I said it most certainly did not. He said he would investigate and call me back. The next morning I called him and he said he found the snapped off stem that holds the nut and cap and I can come and pick it up but he wasn't assuming any responsibility and wasn't about to fix it (even tho he was the one that snapped it off and didn't bother to tell me and let me leave without knowing I was missing a lug nut). I told him I feel since he's done so many tire rotations he was experienced enough to avoid snapping off a stem and at the very least let the customer know that a problem a occured. He held fast saying my tough luck - he's not fixing it. Even when I told him he's going to lose 3 customers (my family) over this he said he is not going to fix it. Very poor customer service and to act like he didn't know HE snapped it off and let me leave -he's a very incompetent manager - I will not come back to that place of business nor will I have anything good to say about the manager. I had asked them to check the air filter and was told to take it home remove it and dust it off - on their 20 step check list they wrote that they checked it and it was ok. They most certainly did not check it.
