Call About a Credit Card Account I Never Opened

I got a call on my cell phone from Portfolio Recovery saying that I had opened a credit card account in 7/20. I never opened up any credit card account. Now Portfolio Recovery is saying that they received this account on 6/30. Now they are telling me that I owe them money. I tried to tell them that I never had any credit cards. What do I do or can do? Please help.
