Do yourself a favour and do not under any circumstances deal with Bell Aliant.

The company is only too willing to sell and pretend that they offer customer service when you make that initial purchase.

Have a problem and try to access customer service. Those people that you can see in the stores cannot help you in any way shape or from.

I wanted to cancel a pay as you go cell. I tried to do so that last year and was told that I had all kinds of credit that I would loose if I cancelled.

Silly, me I listened to customer service who told me that I could use the credit to buy a new cell under a contract. Go to the dealer and find out after an hour of back and forth that they lied.

I was told that they would use my credit to pay my bill on a go forward basis. Another lie.

I finally decided to cancel the phone service. I went to the dealer on Sunday and spent 45 minutes waiting to find out that the dealer could not do that and that Customer service wasn't available on Saturday or Sunday.

I used the phone number given by the dealer to try and cancel the phone from home. It was a loop that did take you to a person only recorded hell.

I went back to the dealer and made them dial the number. They got through the recorded garbage that replaces people and got me in a que to talk to someone. 2o minutes later I got a person in the wrong section. They could not cancel prepayed.

I spent another ten minutes waiting for a transfer to the correct section only to be told that the line up was to long. I was given a number to try from my cell that did not work.

At that point I had no live rep on the phone becasue they had disconnected.

I had to start the process again.

I went to the dealer store manager. He got the # number to work on the cell but by then there was no charge left in it.

I asked if he had a direct line to customer service and he told me no. So he called that stupid slow call service number. Isn't the gold standard under 2 minutes to an individual? He was more than that.

I went in that store to cancel a prepaid phone and spent more than an hour to get through their call center bullshit.

This is not customer service. They wasted 2 hours of my time between both visits, not to mention gas.

No apologies were offered. That is standard procedure.

What happens if you have a problem with you home phone, internet or cable?

If they are this bad with something this simple they are not worth dealing with under any circumstances.

NO Deal is worth Dealing with Bell Aliant's version of customer service.
