Bell mobility
Tried to Cancel contract on cell phone as their is no service in the area

My son tried to cancel his contract will bell as he is currently a Student at Lakehead University. He tried to get a local number for his cell phone but bell could not give him one as they do not have any rights in that area. What bell mobility did was give him fab 10 and unlimited texting. The only problem with that is he is living in Thunder Bay with a Sudbury local telephone number. If he is to call anyone in Thunder Bay their is no fee for him but their is a fee for the receiver of the local cell phone number in Thunder Bay. They cannot call him either as this would incur a long distance telephone number for them as well. He has been looking for employment but as you know he has a 705 are code number and not 807 are code number so if he gets a call for an interview he will get charged a long distance call. Also bell has stated it would cost him 400.00 to get out of his contract. He has not had any complaints with bell before but this is not his falt that he is now in thunder Bay and he canot have a local number. Please is their anything we can do to get out of this contract. We do not know where to go. If he cancels without paying he will have a bad credit history and he does not need this.
