Unreachable Assistance

Unfortunately three weeks ago I have had to seek Emergency Financial Services for rent and i was forwarded to a phone number 404-486-2714. When you call the number, it's a vague voicemail saying applications are acccepted on Wednesdays and are on a "call in basis only". No information about the call in basis process nor an address where to go. After two weeks of trying to get someone to answer the phone, and digging for an address i did show up yesterday 10/6/10 because the recording did mention Wed hours are 8:30 to 4:30. When i got there at 8:15, there was a sign posted on the door saying to call the phantom number listed above between 9:00 and 11:00am to schedule an appointment. Mind you i'm in my third week of trying to locate them. I went to my car and sat for a while and cried and then resumed calling the number. According to my cell phone call log I have made 324 (redial) attempts to reach a live person. From 9 to 11 the phone rang busy. I'm aware that there are many people in need but these so called resources make it really hard to get any type of help. They should anticipate the call volume and hirer more people to take calls, add more phone lines or put the phone back on the hook. I'm even available on Wednesday mornings to volunteer.
