Ripoff fradulent billing

I live in Winder Ga and had home local and long distance thru Alltel. 1st bill was the $65.00 (I was told this was their cheapest and basic package plan). 2nd month went up to $85.00, I had made no long distance calls or anything else. When I asked for reason from customer service they could give me no answer but told me I had to pay full amount. Bill has gone up continalaly for the past 8 months. I am being charged $30.00 for a 60 min. Long distance call made on a saturday afternoon and $5.00 for a 3min. Long distance call. After many months was finaly told by customer service that the bill was getting higher because of a raise in 911 fees and local taxes so that instead of paying $10.00 in taxes it had been bumped up to $25.00.

Second problem was they mispelled my last name, asked for a correction repeatedly but was never done. Not only that but I started getting calls for the Salvation Army in the 2nd month of service. Upon investigation I found that my number was listed under Salvation Army, not only in the phone book but also on 411
so that they would recieve my number when calling information but if called using my name was told we didn't have a number listed in that name. Called the rude customer service. I was told they could only change my phone number and relist on 411 my number under my name and cancel out the Salvation Army listing. When I explained that I didn't want to go thru changing my number she said "What am I suppose to do, go knocking on doors asking customers for their phone books back because of your problem!" Problem was never fixed. Nothing removed from bill or any credits to my account for the 20 some odd calls I would get everyday. Finaly canceled when received last phone bill which was $305.00 for 1 month with only 3-1/2 hours of long distance calls. Also they are the only major phone company in our area.
