Vern l mckim of colorado uses a clever scheme in hiring independent truckers to work for him. After he induces them into independent drivers for them & after they work, he always owes them a few thousand dollars & never ends up properly paying his independent drivers.

He starts out by paying a little bit on a money order & then proceeds to never pay again. One cannot ever track him down & if you sued him, he would never show up for court & no one would ever be able to collect a default judgment against him.

The unique characteristic is the creative lies he tells the unpaid independent drivers (i.E. Blaming his accountant or things like telling the drivers that he is to focused on taking care of his cats).
