Scams independent delivery drivers in tampa florida, makes improper pay deductions

Velocity Express location in Tampa, Florida robs its independent contractors making unlawful weekly deductions that are not part of the contract. They discount for scanners that are never given to drivers, they discount for insurance that no driver has access, they discount for radios that are not given to drivers.
Additionally, there are deliveries that drivers make and never get paid. When a driver makes a claim with the area manager never gets resolved. The latest is an additional discount because they think you are making too much money! On the top of the one about 2 months ago where they include an email from the Houston office telling drivers they were paying too much for deliveries.

A class action sue has been filed against this company in Rochester, New York with other cities including Tampa soon to follow.
