Mid City Gym
No fault of my own - collection

My membership for mid-city gym had expired july. I was asked to renewal my membership for 1 year expiring july however i declined due to spinal surgery scheduled aug. However i postpone the surgery scheduled for aug (fear) and asked vinne as well as steve (both owner) can i try working out for 1 week on a trail basis in aug. They both was aware of my condition and both agreed that it will be alright if i worked out for 1 (one) week. I went to mid-city for 2 days only in aug i was unable to complete the week which was agreed upon due to my medical condition. I finally faced my fear and had the surgery done (spinal) in mar.in june i went back to mid-city hoping to re-join when i was told by vinnie that their computer was showing that my acct was in collection due to an outstanding balance which occur from july until june. I asked how can that be when i never renew my contract and was told that it probably was an technical error. As of sept i have been unable to get any answer from the collection agency, which if i had their info i would also be filing a complaint nor mid-city. Each time i'm being told that my case will be worked on but like i mentioned as of yet nothing is happening and the interest is mounting not to mention that i should never had been referred to collection in the first place. Please help me. I also would like to say that steve (don't know his last name) has tried calling the collection agency, even left several messages along with his nbr, however, they the collection agency never replied back to him.
