Bank of America finance charges

I have had a credit card with Bank of America for several years with no problem. Recently, my interest rate was increased with a credit line of $21,500, plus large minimum payments. When I received my September statement, I paid it off in the full amount which was posted to my account 2 days before the due date. I just received an October statement charging me periodic finance charge of $42.76. I called customer service, was on hold for at least 10 minutes, then transferred to a customer "manager" who spoke with a strong accent that I was unable to understand and had to ask him to slow down and speak more clearly. He said the finance charges were because I had not paid the account in full the previous month? I do not understand this, it's probably written in the small print of the massive "terms" that I was too ignorant to understand in the first place. I'm going to send them my $46.76 but I can promise them, I will never use their credit card again and I will tell as many people as I can about my experience with Bank of America. What they have done, is totally unethical. Isn't it nice the bailout money was given to them so they could stay in business and continue to take advantage of their customers. I hope there are enough customers taking their business somewhere else that it will make an impact.
