Unethical practices

Was lied to when negotiating the amount of money allowed on trade-in vehicle. Mr. Sellers, the car salesman, promised me $1000 over and above the payoff amount of my vehicle if I drove to their dealership that night to purchase a vehicle (He called me at my home). I did end up purchasing a car, and when I returned home, I read my contract and only $750.00 was indicated on the document. I am aware I should have read the document before signing, but it was late. I called and talked to Michael Saldamando, the sales manager, and he denied ever negotiating that amount. Mr. Sellers also denied promising me anything when he called me on the phone. I cannot believe the audacity. I have never dealt with a business that will outwardly deny something that the customer KNOWS they promised. Just because the paperwork says one thing, a righteous, ethical and honest person would fess up to the error and make amends. What angers me much more than the money is the fact that these men would lie and back each other up and make the consumer look like a liar. I don't normally assume that businessment will be deceptive. I have never been accused of being a liar in my life. I feel now that I cannot trust anyone.
