Noble & Pitts
Unfair business practice

I was an owner/operator for Noble and Pitts for 6 years and constantly complained as to why the company trucks were getting more miles than I was. They said that this was not done.

However, when my wife went to work for them as a company driver, we now have the proof. She was out of hours and was given a load to California from Alabama. I had plenty of hours and was given a load to Virginia.

She called the dispatcher, James Dawson, who is the owner's step-son, and said that she was out of hours and would swap loads with her husband. She was upset and crying and exhausted.

I got on the phone and said that I would gladly take her load cuz I had the hours and she did not. She was told that if she did not take the load, she would lose her job, which happened anyway because of getting a ticket for being over 15 minutes on her log book.

I feel like this was unfair and proved to us that they will run their company trucks in the ground along with the drivers and let the owner/operators have what loads are left!

I then took a job with JB Hunt, running for them as an owner/operator for about 4 months and my wife came on board for us to run team on 9/11. After orientation on 9/11 we were given a 500 mile load to be delivered in 12 hours.

We were happy and on our way. About 100 miles from the Louisville, KY yard, we were called on our cell phone and told that the Safety Director, Johnny Jeffrey, for Noble and Pitts had called JB Hunt and told of me failing a drug test for a pre-employment screening with Boyd Brothers in February. My lease was terminated and we were told to drop the trailer and have a nice life.

I feel that Noble and Pitts had no right to call JB Hunt and tattle tail on me, because I would not go back to work for them.
