Unauthorized charges to my credit card

I paid a bill once for someone and without permission later down the line direct tv used my information and charged my card without my permission. Don't want to reeimburse the funds and has caused me stress and heartache from overdraft fees. I don't have an account with them and they had know right to do that. How could this possibly be legal.
