I responded to their ad on Portland Craigs List Monday May 10PostingID: 1733519721 In the ad it states NO COLD CALLING I sent them a resumeafter viewing the ad on Craigs List via e-mail and was called by a companyrepresentative who directed me to the company website and to call back ifinterested. I called back the next day and they arranged a phone interview forthe next day with paul mandel.in the phone interview he stated they will send5000 mailers to generate leads but they need you to send $1488 as a deposit forthe first mailing to cover the cost of the mailing and the purchase of thosetargeted names to be mailed. They then e-mailed me an agent manual whichconfirmed they will send 5000 mailers to generate leads and they require $1488as a deposit for the first mailing. There was never any mention whatsoeverabout cold calling. I asked him specifically "there is no cold calling, all of the leads are generated by the mailers which I am basically paying forinitially?" he replied "that exactly correct Eric... We will mail outthe 5000 mailers that same day, youll write 15-20 deals a month from yourmailing There is no mention whatsoever in any literature they sent or anyconversation I had about cold calling. These was nothing at all that wouldcause me to think or anything implied that I would be required to cold call outof the yellow pages without the assistance of the mailings I paid $1488 for. And the Craigs List ad states NO COLD CALLING as well.
After they got my $1488 I e-mailed and called to confirm themailing of the 5000 mailers, Paul mandrel, to my disbelief, told me I would berequired to "cold call out of the yellow pages to restaurants" andonly after the first deal is secured cold calling would they send the 5000 mailingwhich I had paid for! Needless to say, had this been revealed BEFORE they gotmy money and not AFTER, I would have had no interest at all in the agent opportunity? I was never interested in or had the expectation that I wanted to send anyone$1488 for the privilege to cold call for my first deal which would then releasethe mailing of the 5000 mailers I paid for up front. They refuse to return mymoney or mail the 5000 mailers unless I secure my first deal cold calling andwithout the assistance of the 5000 mailers I was relying on and had paid for. Atthis point they have proven themselves to be fraudulent, deceptive, misleading, and predatory so it is reasonable I would be subject to the same fraudulentdeceptive, misleading, and predatory tactics and manipulation if I were tocontinue the business relationship we started. So even if they sent the mailersout at this point thats not an option. This paul mandel is a lowlife criminal
