SSNCards Informative Steps
Scam or legal?

Miscellaneous

I recently went on line to get a replacement social security card. Unfortunately I didn't realize that government papers are all free. I paid $29.95 for papers to fill out to send to the social security office. I did print out the papers. I contacted ss for more information and that is when I was informed that this wasnt a government site. Yes, I was scammed. I am really upset for myself as well as others that are paying for something that is essentially free. Please let me know if this is a legal operation. According to the person I talked with at ss... It is not. Can it be curtailed so others won't be caught like me. Thank you
