Charged $34.00 for a social security application download, when they are FREE at the social security office. This is very misleading

I lost my sons social security card, and just wanted information. My friends told me to go into the social security web site to see what documents i needed to get a replacement. I didnt know that all the services at the social security office were free. I figured since I lost a card, i might have to pay for a replacement. When I logged on to the web, I typed in... What i need to get a replacement social security card. What pops up? The Bennett and Gray social security assistance website. I was in a hurry and did not realize that this was not the actual Social security website. This website is misleading. I should have known better, but I guess you live and learn. Anyway, I downloaded the application, and I charged $34.00 to my husbands credit card. I figured I would not have to wait as long in line at the social security office. When I went to the social security office, i noticed a stack of these applications. I ask the person behind the desk and said that they were free! I told him what had happended and he said that people get ripped off by these so called social security look alike web sites. This is terrible. I am still baffled on how people can mislead other people into these services. Their should not be any of these assistance services, if they do not come directly from the government. My husband just lost his job, and here I am giving away $34.00 to some legal office for something that was free.
