Store Sold Malfunctioning Dishwasher, Refuses to Replace/Refund

The westminster store called the police when we went to the store to try to get our $ back for a dishwasher that never worked!!! I purchased a dishwasher that has never worked properly and has also leaked and damaged my home. I purchased a Samsung dishwasher (model DMR57LFS) as part of an appliance package from Appliance Factory Outlet. The salesperson (Rick Goldstone) explained that if there were any problems, the store would make it right. The dishwasher was installed on 2/10/10. It has never worked properly. Among the problems - it has leaked multiple times damaging the hardwoord floor, failed to function complete once, melted tumblers & cutting boards on multiple occasions and doesn't clean dishes. We have had 5 subsequent repair visits during which we had to miss work and have had no less than 20 calls with various people within Appliance Factory (and/or their repair service - Brand Source) and still have not been able to get any resolution. Rick then offered to exchange the diswasher for a comparable dishwasher and when we went in he would only switch with a dishwasher valued at $450 (the Samsung was $800!!). When we told him we were not happy with that, he said he would give us the $ back instead. When we finally accepted that, he balked and refused and then called the police to have us removed from the store!!! We are at the point where we are no longer able to use the dishwasher because of a lack of trust that it won't create more damage. All we want is a dishwasher that works!!!
