Ripoff dishonest These people need to be stopped!

I was contacted by advantage plus on 10/21/03 regarding a credit approval. All I needed to provide was my bank account number and routing number so they could deduct $299.00 from my account.

I was quite skeptical and asked to speak to someone else. I inquired if you are calling me from Oklahoma City why does your call show that it is coming from Ontario Canada 416-260-1735, they gave me some lame excuse about it being cheaper to call from Canada.

I asked where the card would be issued from (bank) with a $2500.00 limit - and they couldn't advise which bank. I asked for a number to call back on as no credit card company has every asked for my checking account number.

I tried to get through to the better business bureau in Oklahoma, then decided to check online. I didn't give them my bank account number - and I don't know how they got my name and phone number. I have informed my bank if any electronic withdrawels show up from this company for $299.00 not to honor.

I am glad I had the good sense not to give out my account number.
These people need to be stopped!
