60 days of the run around for nothing

I phoned Key Bank after I was out of the hospital, explained that we were in bad financial shape and didn't want to be in default on our house, but things were looking bad for us, and with a 10,000.00 medical bill, we were looking at bankruptcy. We needed some help. They sent a letter with a list of what they required to look into our situation, which we did. I called over a half dozen times, and each time I was told that there was someting else that we needed, either updated, included, or that they had not received. Finally, I contacted them (as told to do on 4-14) on April 20 to ensure that the last paperwork was received, and was then told that it was ALL they had on file and they needed everything else resent. 40 minutes later, requesting THREE TIMES to speak with a supervisor, I was put on the hone with one. He was unable to resolve the same issue, and I was finally transferred to Loss mitigation abe to speak with someone there. They miraculously located the paperwork that I was told that they did NOT have, but that he would have to work the numbers. Believing that this was finally resolved, I hung up. I received a phone call 15 minutes later and was told that my credit score had been run and I qualified for absolutely NOTHING because my credit was bad. 60 days, and within 15 minutes I was told "too bad" regardless of the hardship letter, doctors letters, bills and so on. It should have been explained what the qualifications would include, or run my credit beforehand as to not waste my time, instead of keeping my hopes up that I would be able to get some relief and NOT lose my house. Now we are facing the bitter pill that we might be homeless in a few months.
