In November, a co-worker received a rather questionable call from a company who claimed to have provided us with services in the past, and wanted to confirm our mailing address and phone number. Somehow, he inadvertently agreed to some kind of office supplies package.

After doing some online research, he realized that this was a fradulent company and immediately called them back to refuse the order. After not getting a response, he also emailed his refusal - the package arrived a week later. We thought nothing of it and left it. We eventually threw all the garbage out - it was random office supplies that we had no use for. As we had already refused the order, we thought nothing of it.

Then the invoices started coming, which we responded to - indicating that we had refused the order. Strangely enough, we never received any kind of acknowledgement of our original refusal. And then the phone calls started - and have kept coming over the past 6 months. I had a lovely "conversation" with a loser in their collections department today, who did acknowledge our refusal, but indicated that we refused the order beyond the allowable 30 days - which is a complete and utter lie.

I hung up on him, only to receive a voice message from said loser, indicating that as a collections person, he was looking forward to calling us every day from this point on.

After looking online at other similar situations, I have feeling optimistic that my resolve to ignore and conquer will hopefully, eventually, work. I have instructed my staff to ignore their calls and to return all mail from them. I really can't believe this is still ongoing... So ridiculous!!! How is this company allowed to persist!!?
