I have been a long time Aldo Shoes customer. I recently found a pair of boots that I really wanted, but they were only available online. I purchased them, and my credit card was charged immediately. Four days later I get an email telling me that the boots were out of stock, and that my card will be refunded within 7 business days. Great right? I really wanted these boots, and the website said they were available in a different color. So I was thrilled, and ordered them that same day. My credit card was once again charged right away, which brings my total spent at Aldo to 200 dollars, and mind you I have nothing to show for it! I wait another 4 days, and all the while I am tracking my order. It continued to say processing. I wanted to know what was going on, so I called. The women I spoke to told me that my order was not shipping out of their warehouse, but a store, and that she would call and find out what the hold up was and call me back. So she calls me back after about 3 hours, and tells me there was a delay at the store and they are being shipped out today. I was thrilled! Not even 2 hours after I hang up with her I get an email saying the boots were not in stock anymore, and my order was canceled! So I call again, tell another women what just happened, and it turned out the boots were in stock, but they were a damaged pair, and they were not to be sold. I was told my card would be refunded in a week, and that a store near where I live had 2 pairs in stock according to her computer. So she gave me the number, and I called. The guy I spoke with said yes, its my system, but let me check, and puts me on hold for about 2 hours (exageration!). He comes back on the line and informs me the shoes are no longer there, and the system was just never updated. How lovely. So because I am a gluton for punishment, and REALLY wanted these boots, I found them on Amazon 2 days ago, in a color I didnt love, but liked, so I had to resort to it. I ordered them, and my card was charged again. So now I am up to 300 dollars spent on nothing, while I await my refund. I called Aldo yesterday to make sure they were actually in stock somewhere in this world (as Amazon was selling them through Aldo) and I have not heard back. I am sick of waiting on the phone with Aldo. I think its completey insane that these items would be listed as available online, yet they never really exist. Dont you think Aldo should wait to charge peoples credit cards then if they have a terrible inventory problem, and the item might not even be available! I just cant understand why the online inventory is not updated. I can tell you one thing, I have been such a long time Aldo customer, and if this third order fails to go through after being charged 300 dollars, I am never EVER going back to that place. And I will make sure none of my friends or anyone else goes either. I am sorry that was such a long rant! I am just furious!
