Masterguard Scam

Miscellaneous

What a scam this company is! They sell their alarms to their "dealers" for anywhere from $62.00 and then their dealers mark them up to $300 dollars. If you contact your attorney general and let them know that Masterguard is selling alarms to dealers for $62.00 and the mark-up is 5x and in some cases 8x or 9x what the wholesale price is... We can shut these guys down. Stop their scam, and tell them to leave honest people alone.
We should be able to get the FTC involved, much like in the early 1990's when they shut down Vanguard. This company is buying alarms from Gentex, Costar, Amerex, water-gel etc at wholesale prices. Charging what other companies charge retail to their own dealers, and then their dealers are charging the consumers 8x the amount they pay. I am begging the salespeople who work for these hucksters to confront their dealers and Masterguard and tell them they will not be part of the sham!
The attorney general in your state will not put up with this type of outrageous pricing! Call your attorney general immediately and have these dealers investigated! What a hoax! There have been several undercover news agencies that have done reports on them. We had one right here in Phoenix and they shut down the dealer that was working here. I will continue to report these frauds until we have shut this company down. Now I understand that they have changed their name and are trying to sell air filters for tons of money. The same ones they sell for 1200 dollars I found online for 399. Global Health and Safety. Yeah right. More like Global Health and Scam Artists.
I am begging consumers to call the attorney general and lets get Masterguard under investigation. If people knew that they were paying Gentex only a few dollars per alarm and then selling them for hundreds! I have placed calls to attorney generals and state fire marshalls in several states. Please call and do the same. Let's work together to shut these people down.
One more thing... Masterguard alarms have been in homes where people have died. Yet another lie that they mask under the guise of semantics. Call Masterguard corporate office and ask them this specific question. "Has anyone ever died in a home fire where your alarms were?" It is a simple yes or no question. All you need is a yes or no. They make it out like their alarms are so great. They will not answer with just a yes or a no. They'll try and spin it some other way. Masters of the con. I will not get a rebuttal from any of their corporate folks regarding these issues, becaus they know I speak the truth. Let's shut this unethical company down!
