This company is BAD news. Last year this company representing ADT called Integrity Alarms solicited my home several times using scare tactics to frighten my wife saying that there was an increased crime rate in our neighborhood and that she wasn't safe especially when home alone while I am at work. They claimed that several break-ins had occurred and that my wife should be scared without an alarm system. Kristine was the name of the representative that came to our door on several occasions until my wife agreed to TRY the alarm service. Kristine explained that there was no obligation for the first 6 months if we chose to terminate the service. She wrote in on the contract before we signed one of the pages that we had a 6 month right of cancellation per a manager that she called on her cell phone while in my kitchen. At the end of the meeting she kept certain pages and put our copies in a folder. What I did not notice was that this particular page did not end up in the folder, so when we asked to cancel after the first month the page was no where to be found. I called and discussed all of this with the manager of Integrity Alarms and after apologizing for the "misinformation" that was told to us he said he would discuss this incorrect information with Kristine and for our trouble he would give us a few months for free. I don't want free I want to cancel and I was very clear about this. A few months later I get a collection letter saying that if I don't pay them that they will send me to collections for over $2000!!! I called ADT corporate and Integrity Alarms and neither company is doing anything to fix this. ADT claims that they handle these issues "internally" with authorized dealers. I said that is fine but if they are slapping their dealer on the wrist it should include legitimately canceling my very deceptive contract. I now have a huge collection on my credit, no one willing to be responsible for it, and I have not even been providing the service they are charging me for that I don't want for several months now. I am absolutely not paying them and I am going to continue to work on getting this off my credit even if it means finding others that were lied to in my area and starting a class action lawsuit.
