Miscellaneous

I am very surprised and upset. I stumbled upon this website (ripoff report) when googling the so-called book that my poem was supposed to be published in. Several years ago I entered a contest at poetry.com and shortly after I was contacted by mail saying that I had won and my poem was to be published in a book titled "Eternal Portraits." Thank goodness I did not buy the book because when they said it was going to be published (I can't recall the date) I went to many big bookstores and did not find the book.in fact the employees there said that they had never heard of it! I didn't think much of it and so from time to time the thought pops into my head and I will make a few calls or search online for this book. I did that today and read a report on here about other people that had the exact same thing happen to them by the exact same people!!! I can't believe that a company would do this to so many of us talented writers out here. I feel sorry for the people who actually bought the book and I am curious if they ever recieved a copy or if poetry.com just took their money. I hope that this isn't still currently happening, but if so, please beware of the fraud that they are committing!
