Do not take your vehicle to this shop! I wish there was a rating below poor because that is what I would rate this body shop. My vehicle was taken to this body shop through Geico, who at the time I had insurance through, in Dec. Of 2007. The Geico representative, Mike Rampsey, has an office there on site at the shop, RED FLAG! My 2006 Kia Sorrento was in a minor accident on the Florida Turnpike and the drivers side front and back were damaged. I contacted Geico and Murphys was their top rated shop that they recommend. When I went to pick up my vehicle I noticed Murphys;s techs jumping the battery. I didnt think anything of because they said it was just from sitting to long. So off I went to the gas station right next door to the shop and when I went to leave my car would not even turn over. The battery had been damaged in the accident and Murphy's/Geico did not even look under the hood to have anything fixed under there. So I had it towed to a Kia dealership where I got a new battery.
6 months later my a/c went out. My car wasnt even 2 years old! Come to find out a technician at Murphys took off my A/C condenser and replaced it with a NON-Kia part and it went out. I contacted Geico and Murphys and they said that they did not do it and that I could not prove it and then proceeded to tell me that I must have done it. Ridiculous! I dont know the first thing about cars. That cost me over $700 to replace.
To top it all off, it is now 2 years after they "fixed" my vehicle and now the headlight is protruding out 1/2" and moves when pushed with my hand, the hood is 1/4" off on that same side, the electrical does not work properly, my inside door frame on the drivers side has been loose and now my drivers side mirror and window do not work.
Overall. Murphys and Geico are terrible! They are crooks. Both Geico and Murphys at least at this location. My vehicle was brand new before they got their hands on it and now it has so many problems
