Dating site scam - continued charges - no way to cancel or stop them

Meetyourmessenger appears like a dating / networking website. I subscribed intitally in August for a month. But noticed quickly that there were no members near me and that I just got loads of mails with generic blurb from people that I felt were fake profiles as the comments didn't relate to my profile at all or even proof that they never have seen my profile.

I noticed in September that my card had been billed again and looked for an option on their site to opt out from subsequent billing - not possible. The only way to contact them was via their own support / contact facility. I got suspicious as it was not possible to obtain proof that I had sent them a note. The only postal address provided is a mail address in Spain. When you trace the IP address it seems the site is operated from Denmark, although the co. Uk implies you are looking at a uk site.

As I got no response I tried again in December and February to stop them - but again no response at all. Only on the site popped a window up - saying my question will be responded to once they have got an answer. My credi card company was useless btw.

My next attempt to contact them I accompanied by a threat reporting them to the police. And once of a sudden I get e-mail with a ticket number and a link back to their site with communication. But at first only generic blurb referring to their t&c and saying I had to press the cancel button on the e-mail that they would have sent out.
As a matter of fact - these e-mails never reached me. We had quite a few exchanges pinging messages so that worked! And they finally confirmed that they cancelled my subscripiton manually. But that was the first time they ever responded.

In fact they went into overdrive by accidentally sending me somebody elses complaint ticket - with the same issue as mine - and responded at first with the same generic t&c stuff. I then responded - saying how useless and unprofessional this is and that I am going to contact that person as the e-mail address was in the complaint. Their answer to that was brilliant! Sorry we think the system has mixed up your payment details... I sent again a response - how interesting and I will report them. When I looked later again into the history of that mail trail on their website, they had repaced my last comment with an awfully nice response - which I t hink was also fake. That response was very apologetic for not understanding their t&c's and how she could be helped. What a sharde!!!
